Try to get the feel of what you might need, get some advice.  Once winter is over your local store will probably have most of their gardening tools out for sale, to clear for their new stock. This would be a good time to do a bit of bargaining and pick up a good deal.  After all, they want to clear their stock, that's why it's for sale!

If you are just starting out with gardening then you need to look for shovels. These gardening tools should have a round pointed blade. They are made to remove soil. If this is the case, then you can also get a leaf blower, this will take less time to get rid of all the extra leaves. Another gardening tool that you will need is a hose and a good water supply. And always make sure that you read any information about your plants before you plant them. This will make sure that you're plants.

If you are on a budget for you're gardening tools then you should think about spending a little extra that will cost more but last for a longer time. Forged tools will cost more, but they will last longer. You get what you pay for with gardening tools.  Look after them too.  Make sure that you clean each of you're gardening tools before you place them away. This will also help keep your tools in working order and they'll also last a lot longer too.  Make sure you place all your tools away when winter hits. You can coat your tools with some wax or oil when winter comes. This will keep them safe through out the winter. When spring hits again makes sure that you check all the screws on your gardening tools, make sure that they are all tight. You should do this throughout the gardening seasons.
